Identity:

Annie B. Jennings came from the prominent Jennings family in Fairfield, Connecticut. She was the eldest of the five children of Oliver Burr Jennings (1825 – 1893) and Esther Judson Goodsell (1828–1908). The family fortune arose from Jennings' investments as a major stockholder in the Standard Oil Company.

Life:

She was a generous philanthropist, whose gifts to the local community including the land on which Connecticut Audubon's Birdcraft Museum was built.
