She was the daughter of Whistler's older half-brother George W. Whistler, and sister of Thomas D. Whistler and Julia Whistler (Mrs Revillon). Whistler attended her marriage to Ross R. Winans on 20 May 1879. They had four children, Neva (1881-1883), Beatrice (1884-1907), Thomas (1886-1941) and Ross (1889-1907). Her sisters-in-law were Mrs Joseph S. Whistler and Mrs Ross W. Whistler.
Life:
She inherited The Coast of Brittany y037. She was at Whistler's funeral in 1903 (the paper called her 'Vera').
