At left, a young man, feather in cap, possibly a 'Margrave' (prince or ruler of some 'march' or principality), stands by an altar spread with an open volume. In the centre, the back view of a cowled figure facing a large crucifix. At right, a woman with fair hair stands by a window, holding a sword in her right hand. The subject has not been identified.
