Portrait of a girl dates from between 1885 and 1898. It is known only from an undated, unidentified, press cutting. 1

It is dated from its apparent similarity (as far as one can judge from a small newspaper photograph) to such paintings as Arrangement in Grey: Portrait of Master Stephen Manuel [YMSM 321] and Portrait of William M. Chase [YMSM 322].
