Given the summary list of Venice etchings on the same sheet, it is possible this rough sketch was related to Nocturne [222], The Little Lagoon [216] or The Riva [229], which were completed in London. However, the two may not be related.

Conservation History

This is one of several drawings that were bound into an album, possibly by the Redfern Gallery, London, ca 1950.
