Description

Way's image shows that this was a drawing in vertical format, with the diagonal line of a quayside running from the lower right corner to above half-way up the right side. The bay is at left, with, at upper right, the white sails of two small sailing boats. In the distance, there is a row of buildings with the dome of a church in the centre. 1

Site

A view, probably from the Casa Jankowitz in the sestiere of Castello, looking down the Riva degli Schiavoni towards Santa Maria della Salute, in Venice, Italy.
