• 1905: possibly owned by Thomas Robert Way (1861-1913), London;
• 1906: owned by Walter Hamilton Hylton Jessop (1853-1917), opthalmic surgeon, Harley Street, London.
• 1978: sold at auction, Christie's, London, 3 March 1978 (lot 101) as 'A Venetian Canal';
• 1978: sold by Agnew's, London dealers, to private collectors.
