Provenance

• 1889: according to Wunderlich's, sold to Charles Harrison Tweed (1844-1917), 12 East 36 Street, New York, NY;
• 1917: bequeathed to his wife, Helen Minerva Tweed, née Evarts (1856-1928) who owned it until at least 1924 (photogaph in Frick Art Library);
• Date unknown, before 1937: destroyed by fire. ¹
