- 1957: sold to Colnaghi, London art dealers, 22 October 1957 [# 22362];
- 1958: bought by the Cecil Higgins Museum (The Higgins, Bedford), 27 May 1958.
Exhibitions
- 1885: Possible shown in Winter Exhibition, Society of British Artists, London, 1885 (cat. no. 570) as 'Caprice in Red'.
It is possible that this watercolour is Caprice in Red m1067, which was exhibited first in 1885.
