- 1903: bought on 8 May from Whistler by Richard Albert Canfield (1855-1914), Providence, RI;
- 1914: bought on 12 March by Knoedler's, New York dealers;
- 1917: sold on 24 March, according to Knoedler's records, to John Davis Batchelder (1872-1958).
The family of the last named owner has no record of it.
